• An investigator interviews the Complainant & Respondent separately where each have the opportunity to submit evidence and identify witnesses.
  • The investigator collects evidence, interviews witnesses relevant to the reported incident.
  • The investigator issues a SIRU(Statement of Information Relied Upon) to both parties. The parties have the opportunity to correct or amend statements.
  • The investigator issues a Summary of Finding and Preliminary Determination. The Notice is sent to both parties, and forwarded to the appropriate administrator for disciplinary action, e.g., UCLA Office of Student Conduct for students and Human Resources for faculty and staff.
